At HPM, we understand that building a home is one of life’s biggest milestones, which is why we offer a versatile portfolio of HPM Home plans that cater to the unique preferences and circumstances of our clients. Inspired by the feedback on what local residents are looking for in their ideal homes, our updated floorplans boast a fresh and airy feel, with a flowing layout that seamlessly connects every room. The ample windows throughout the home flood the space with natural light, creating a sunny and bright atmosphere that amplifies the already expansive layout. Whether you are a first-time buyer or a seasoned homeowner, creating a space for your growing family or downsizing to a smaller home, our mission at HPM Homes is to empower our clients to achieve their dream of owning a home in Hawai‘i.
Here’s a breakdown of exactly how we refreshed half of our home models to suit the needs of local families.
‘Auli‘i is a two-bedroom, two-bath home designed to ensure a couple or small family can make the most of the living space. We added a full bathroom to the carport area, which can also be used as an outdoor living area if preferred. A garage plan can be attached as well for more storage.
The three-bed ‘Ilima home has an open concept to accommodate family fun and friendly gatherings. The lanai area has been expanded, providing more space that transitions from indoors to outdoors. We also squared off the plan to maximize the interior living space and updated the roofline to make it easier to construct. Extra closets now offer even more storage.
With a focus on increased privacy and a ranch-style open layout, the three-bedroom Kamole is perfect for entertaining and family gatherings. The kitchen has been expanded to provide even more space, while the detached suite now features access to a covered lanai for a private oasis. Plus, we’ve moved the bathroom to the rear of the home to create an even more secluded retreat.
We updated the three-bedroom Kanalani to make the two-car garage a connecting space for several areas—which was a highly requested modification to this popular floorplan—improving accessibility and storage. A walk-in pantry bridges the garage and the kitchen, and a half bath and storage room were also added beside the garage. The laundry room was moved inside the home, addressing a highly requested feature.
Discover the newly updated Kekaha home plan, featuring an open floor plan for flexible living and plenty of storage. The plan retains its original square footage though we reconfigured the primary bedroom to open up the bathroom, added a spacious walk-in closet with shelving, and redesigned the laundry room to include even more shelving for added convenience.
Kumukahi had two generously sized bedrooms, so we turned our attention to the kitchen and updated the design with more counter space in the form of a stunning 6’ island. And by squaring off the front of the home’s floor plan, we have increased the living space. We also brought the laundry room inside and made it bigger so if you want to get creative, it can also be used as pantry storage. The covered lanai was bumped out to align with the second bedroom.
Since the three-bedroom Lauhala is one of our most popular plans, we observed many customers adding garage space and took the hint. Our refreshed plan now features a garage with plenty of storage, an interior laundry room, and a pantry that is accessible through both the garage and the kitchen for unloading and stocking groceries. We expanded the primary bedroom by 2’, added a private toilet closet, and installed two single-hung windows to bring in more light and airflow.
The three-bedroom Maluhia plan was designed with a more open concept. We created additional storage with a walk-in pantry off the kitchen, a linen closet in the hall, space in the expansive entryway, and a laundry/mudroom area with a full bath beside the garage. The 28’ x 8’ covered lanai connected to the living room provides more entertaining space.
The Pilikai beach cottage layout was touched up just a bit to add 2’ to the living space, enlarging the bedroom and living room. Meanwhile, we made the porch a bit smaller to maintain the efficient footprint of the home.
The refreshed three-bedroom floor plan, Pua Melia has a new hip roof design, which is not only more aesthetically pleasing but is also helpful for reducing birds’ nests that are common in roof eaves. We listened to our customers' feedback and added vaulted ceilings to create more open and airy living areas.
With four bedrooms, the Wai‘olu is meant for a bigger ‘ohana, so we opened up the living and kitchen areas to reflect how a family would use the home. With the addition of a kitchen island and walk-in pantry, the kitchen has plenty of counter and storage space. The laundry room moved indoors for ease of use, while the garage now houses a huge storage closet. We squared off the rooflines to not only create a little extra room inside but also facilitate their construction. And with a new 20’ x 10’ covered lanai off the kitchen, there’s even more living space for family and friends to enjoy the fresh air.
