HPM Building Supply is pleased to announce the opening of a new retail store and a convenient drive-through lumberyard on the island of Lānaʻi this April. The 5,000 square feet space is currently in renovation before the grand opening this spring.
One Door Shuts, Another Opens
In 2023, the community on Lāna‘i felt a void when the Lāna‘i Hardware and Lumber store in Lānaʻi City closed its doors due to its operators retiring. HPM saw an opportunity to expand our retail operations to the island in the since unoccupied 5,000 square foot space. With renovations currently underway, the new retail operation will be opening this April.
“Lānaʻi is so rich in history and collaborative in nature and we are excited to share our aligned passion for community,” says Jason Fujimoto, HPM chairman and CEO. “The presence of our new store is really a shared space of innovation and ideas where homeowners and businesses can work together, and with us, to build better and live better."
What's to Come
What customers can look forward to on Lānaʻi:
Having worked on past projects on Lānaʻi, HPM looks forward to establishing an official presence in the community. For DIYers, weekend warriors and building professionals, having the ability to access resources that were once difficult to obtain will be a welcomed change for Lānaʻi.
A New Way to Build, A New Way to Work
The opening of HPM will undoubtedly change the way Lānaʻi builds. But it is also an opportunity to invite residents to consider working with us! Having a longstanding company culture that takes care of employees, HPM’s more than 570 owner-employees own 100% of company stock through the Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). We welcome interested candidates on Lānaʻi to apply for career opportunities at our new store. HPM is looking to fill available positions in the coming weeks.
