The kitchen is a special place. It's where you pass down grandma's famous beef stew recipe, turn a prized catch into a fresh poke meal or simply gather to share a daily meal with family. Whether you're getting started on a remodel or beginning from scratch with new construction, we'll set you up with not just a great kitchen, but the right kitchen to match your needs and lifestyle. Here are some first steps to expect when working with an HPM design team.
Share your inspiration
It’s great to share your ideas or vision for your new space. I always ask customers for magazine samples, clips from home improvement shows, Pinterest or Houzz links–anything that speaks to their happy place. The more you’re able to share, the easier it is to provide recommendations and steer you in the right direction.
Getting to know you
At our first meeting, I’ll give a tour of our showroom to share different cabinet displays, door styles and finishes, and countertops. We’ll also discuss your floor plan and ask you some basic questions:
These questions may seem overwhelming, but we’re here to assist and the information helps create a plan with all design elements working in unison.
Draw up a plan
Before our first appointment is over, we’ll determine the exact model numbers of the appliances, sink basin and faucet you’re purchasing, ensuring all measurements are 100% accurate. At this stage, I’ll create drawings using 3D renderings to give a visualization of what it’s like to be in your kitchen. I share these renderings during the second appointment and make any changes or revisions at that time.
