Meet the Experts Behind HPM's Commercial Division: Building Hawaiʻi's Future

At HPM Building Supply, we've always prided ourselves on anticipating and meeting the changing needs of our community. That's why we're thrilled to announce our latest venture: a dedicated commercial division set to revolutionize how we approach large-scale projects across the state. This new team is our response to the dynamic shifts in Hawai’i's commercial construction landscape, positioning us to better serve the complex needs of developers, contractors, and businesses throughout Hawaiʻi. 

 

Meet the Team

At the heart of our commercial division are three industry veterans whose diverse backgrounds in construction, commercial building products and entrepreneurship add depth to the team:

 

George Proctor, Commercial Products Sales Manager

With over two decades of experience in Hawaiʻi's construction industry, George brings extensive knowledge in light gauge steel framing, safety systems, and commercial building products. His diverse background includes roles in sales, marketing, and management, making him a valuable asset in developing HPM's commercial division from the ground up.

 

Jovelyn Quiddaoen, Commercial Product Specialist

Jovelyn's 20-year career in the construction and building materials industry spans a wide array of disciplines, including epoxy repair, EIFS (Stucco System), decorative concrete and concrete repair, commercial windows and doors, waterproofing, and structural steel. Her comprehensive expertise and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable resource for clients navigating complex commercial projects across Hawaiʻi.

 

Timothy Lyons, Outside Sales Representative

Tim's journey in the construction industry is marked by his entrepreneurial spirit, having founded and grown CanDo Supply before joining HPM. His deep understanding of waterproofing, building envelope solutions, and concrete-related products, coupled with his experience serving both general contractors and specialty subcontractors, brings a unique perspective to the commercial team.

 

Each brings a unique perspective and skill set to the table, ensuring we can meet the complex needs of commercial projects. 

 

 

 

The Birth of a New Division

"We formed the commercial products team to serve customers we've worked with for years, but in an area of business we hadn't fully explored before," explains George. This strategic move allows HPM to expand our offerings and better serve our clientele. 

Jovelyn adds, "With our combined experience, we're able to understand and meet the unique challenges of commercial construction in Hawaiʻi. It's not just about selling products; it's about providing solutions." 

 

Expanding Our Horizons

With the formation of the commercial division, clients undertaking large-scale projects will gain streamlined access to HPM's extensive product inventory and specialized services. 

"We're broadening our offerings to include specialized products like epoxies, coatings, weather barriers, and commercial-grade windows and doors. This expansion allows us to meet the diverse needs of large-scale projects," George notes. This enhancement means commercial clients can now enjoy a one-stop shop experience with HPM, benefiting from expedited ordering processes, efficient delivery services, and the team's expert knowledge in sourcing and applying these specialized products. 

Tim emphasizes the importance of this expansion: "In the commercial sector, having access to a wide range of specialized products can make or break a project. We're positioning ourselves to be that crucial resource for our clients."

While our commercial team is based on Oʻahu, our reach extends statewide. "While we're based on Oʻahu, we serve all the Islands. We can quote, ship, and manage jobs from one central location," George explains. 

Jovelyn adds, "Our ability to serve the entire state is crucial. Each island has its unique challenges, and we're equipped to handle them all."
