Recently, community advocate, HPM partner and HOPE Services Hawaii CEO, Brandee Menino, was awarded the 2019 ATHENA ® Leadership Award by the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce. HOPE Services Hawaii partners with HPM to end homelessness in Hawaii
HOPE Services Hawaii is a statewide non-profit agency that seeks to empower homeless families and provide or support housing services. Since being appointed as HOPE CEO in 2010, Brandee has showcased her heart, leadership and strong desire to end homelessness and transform our community. Through Brandee’s efforts, homelessness has decreased in the County of Hawaii by more than 35%, and statewide by more than 15%.
During the building of the Sacred Heart Emergency Micro-Shelters for those displaced by the 2018 Kilauea lava flow, HPM had the opportunity to partner with Brandee and HOPE to showcase the power of community in full force.
It was an honor to have worked alongside many other community members and organizations that accomplished the completion of that emergency shelter program within 30 days. HPM looks forward to continuing this partnership with the upcoming Sacred Heart Housing Project in the near future.
