HPM’s 100th Anniversary is a time to celebrate all the people that have played a part in shaping the history of HPM and our local communities.
Together we’ve built homes, we’ve built families, and we’ve built our community. Through thick and thin, we will continue to come together to build an even stronger, more resilient Hawaii.
In order to give back to these communities, HPM is partnering with nonprofits and other organizations across the state to fulfill 100 Acts of Service—one for each of its years in operation as HPM celebrates this centennial milestone.
HPM is partnering with nonprofits and other organizations across the state to fulfill 100 Acts of Service—one for each of its years in operation as HPM celebrates this centennial milestone.
The 100 Acts of Service initiative is led by a group of 22 owner-employees who serve as Community Building Team Champions. So far, they have organized more than 50 projects, which owner-employees from across the state have completed.
Completed projects include collecting diaper donations for the Hawaii Diaper Bank, hosting animal adoption drives, volunteering at the Hawaii Food Basket, organizing beach and park cleanups, and donating renovation supplies to organizations in need.
“Hawai'i Diaper Bank is so honored to have been a recipient of HPM’s 100 Acts of Service,” Jessica Histo, Founder and President of Hawaii Diaper Bank said.
"The Hilo, Kona and Waimea stores raised 13,966 diapers and 257 packs of wipes that will help close to 300 keiki with a monthly supplement of diapers and wipes. We cannot express enough how grateful we are for their generosity and support."
As Hawaii recovers from the pandemic, Acts also include safety and resilience efforts, such as collecting keiki mask donations.
Stay tuned for more updates as HPM works toward its goal of 100 Acts! Non-profit organizations interested in partnering with HPM on an Act of Service should contact Kylie Bergen at firstname.lastname@example.org or (808) 356-5456.
